Jessica Deljouravesh appointed Popular and World Music Officer

Jessica Deljouravesh has been appointed the Ontario Arts Council's (OAC) Popular and World Music Officer. Jessica replaces Michael Murray, who left OAC to helm the Toronto Musicians’ Association (Local 149 of the American Federation of Musicians/Canadian Federation of Musicians).

Jessica has worked at OAC since 2007, most recently as Cross-Sectoral Associate Officer. In this role, she oversaw three music programs that she will continue to manage – Choral Organizations, Choirs & Singing Groups and Classical Music Recording. Jessica also managed granting programs on an interim basis as required, including Popular and World Music, and Touring and Audience Development programs.

​Jessica holds a master’s degree in music from the University of Ottawa, and has training in jazz vocals and both jazz and classical viola.
